Washi tape is a biodegradable decorative adhesive tape traditionally made from from fibres of the Gampi Tree, the Misumata Shrub, the Mulberry bush, Bamboo, Hemp, Rice and other natural materials. The fibres, bark, flower petals and other inclusions provide great texture and character to washi tapes. The adhesive compound is made from renewable sources like the rubber plant. Utilising the characteristics of Japanese rice paper, each washi tape roll is textured and can be torn to size with fingers, written on, is easy to remove and does not leave residue. Washi tapes offer an abundance of creative and decorative uses, by adding washi tape onto your journals, planners, scrapbooks, cards, scented candles, gift wrapping, book-marking, sealing envelopes, art and craft, attaching bills to the fridge and just about anything else that your creative mind can imagine!
